  • Trillium Beer Garden in the Wharf District Parks – Spend an afternoon enjoying draft beer by Trillium Brewing Company and the city’s best food trucks. Trillium Beer Garden is open Thursday and Friday 2 – 10pm, Saturday noon – 10pm, and Sunday noon – 6pm.
  • City Winery Open Air Wine Garden on Dewey Square – Sip locally-crafted wine on tap and craft beer and cider by Harpoon Brewery along with a menu of fresh wraps, cheese boards, and snacks. Across from South Station, the outdoor wine garden is open Wednesday through Sunday.

3. See a Show in the Boston Theater District

See Broadway shows, musicals, opera, dance, comedy shows, and avant-garde productions in the vibrant Boston Theater District just south of Boston Common. Downtown’s Theater District houses more than a dozen theaters and venues, including Emerson’s Colonial Theatre, Orpheum Theatre, and the historic Boston Opera House. This month, you can see popular shows such as the Blue Man Group at the Charles Playhouse and Tina – The Tina Turner Musical at Citizens Bank Opera House.

5. The Boston Cup Classic Car Show on Boston Common

See more than 100 exceptional vintage and classic cars on display at the Boston Cup classic car show on Boston Common. The annual event takes place on September 25, 2022, 9am – 2pm, near the Parkman Bandstand. Celebrate the innovations of design, speed, engineering, safety, and artistry over time. If you don’t want to spring for a ticket, which range from $50 to $100, you can get a good look at the cars as they leave Boston Common around 2pm.
